Seeker Heading To Oz!

Variety has reported (you need a Universal Translator to figure out what they are talking about) that Legend of the Seeker will soon be seen on Australian TV.

That's the good news.

The bad news is that it's not on Free to Air but on Foxtel (cable). For those with Foxtel, that's great news. Foxtel has been undergoing some mega changes of late and this one more good reason why I've got the service <g>

Variety's report is here

and the translated bit is here:

What it's basically saying is that tv shows are now being shown quickly throughout the world in order to beat piracy (we get shows a few days after they air in the US which differed from the old ways of waiting a year or two (or more) to see the new episodes or new shows.

The article talks about the show FlashForward being sold to Foxtel and the last paragraph says that Legend of the Seeker is included in the package.

So after waiting over a year for Legend to surface on Aussie TV, it's finally going to show up on Foxtel. I'm guessing they will do what they did with True Blood (AWESOME show) and lead in with Season 1 followed by Season 2 without a break.

Many thanks to aerips from the AUSXIP Talking Xena Message Board for the link!
