Also for those that haven't read Wizard's First Rule - the first book by Terry Goodkind, here's a tip - it's one heck of a good read! I was absolutely captivated by the first chapter and it didn't let up. It's a huge 700+ pages book but Terry weaves quite a story. The series won't follow the books 100% of the time but this will give you a good idea of what's coming up.

TED RAIMI TO GUEST STAR IN HIGHLY-ANTICIPATED ACTION-ADVENTURE SERIES “LEGEND OF THE SEEKER”

Nationally Syndicated Series From Disney-ABC Domestic Television and ABC Studios Also Taps David de Lautour (Xena: Warrior Princess) for Supporting Role

Burbank, CA, September 2, 2008 - Ted Raimi ("Spider-Man 3," “SeaQuest DSV”), actor and brother of “Legend of the Seeker” Executive Producer Sam Raimi, will guest star in an upcoming episode of the epic fantasy series “Legend of the Seeker,” it was announced today. The fourth installment, titled ‘Bounty,’ will showcase Raimi playing the character of Sebastian, a mapmaker skilled in the lost art of cartogromancy -- the making of enchanted maps. Sebastian, a sly and clever character, once served kings but now he has been reduced to selling his services to bounty hunters.

Executive producers also announced that David de Lautour will have a recurring role on the series, joining previously announced leads Craig Horner (Richard Cypher), Bridget Regan (Kahlan), and Bruce Spence (Zedd); and recurring actors Jay Laga’aia (Chase) and Craig Parker (Darken Rahl). David de Lautour (“What I Like About You” and "Xena: Warrior Princess") portrays Michael Cypher, brother of Richard.

From the talented team behind the long-running, successful series “Hercules: The Legendary Journeys” and “Xena: Warrior Princess,” and the studio that produces primetime network hits including “Lost,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Desperate Housewives,” “Ghost Whisperer” and “Army Wives,” comes the next generation of action-adventure series. “Legend of the Seeker” follows the extraordinary travels of woodsman Richard Cypher (Craig Horner), who must stop a ruthless tyrant from unleashing an ancient evil and enslaving the world.
